I was lucky enough to recieve a "Meet The Tigers" experience from my husband as a birthday gift. My love of tigers made him go towards buying this! We arranged this for Tuesday 21st April 2015 Wow!!! What an experience! I loved every single second of it. All the staff were amazing and so well informed and very happy to answer all our questions! We were met by Mike a keeper and Ray the volunteer that would be taking us to the tiger keeper! Mike was very friendly and made the important safety points fun at the same time as getting across the importance of the regulations. We were then left in the capable hands of Ray to start our experience. We thought we would be heading straight of to the Tigers but Ray was very happy to talk about all the animals we saw on route. He was so well informed and it was great to be given that time. We then headed off to the Tigers where we were met by Natalie the keeper for the day and she again filled us with lots of interesting facts and information. Vlad the male tiger decided that the treat on offer wasn't quite a big enough treat to be enticed in for our encounter. This did not however spoil the experience as his sister Stripe was more than happy to oblige. I had always known that of course Tigers were huge but my goodness you don't get the true sense of just how big until you are actually up close and personal. And they are even more beautiful up close too. We were also taken out in the back of the enclosure so we were able to photograph Vlad in the enclosure. we were allowed to take as many photos as we wished, we took full advantage of this! I could have spent all day there it was amazing. Our day didn't end there as we then had lunch as part of the experience and were then free to enjoy the rest of the park. There was always well informed staff dotted around to answer all questions and they were always smiling and friendly, we have been to a few zoos/parks where the staff just go about there business ignoring visitors so this was such a pleasant change. We also had the pleasure of getting hands on experience with some snakes and lizards. A truly wonderful, unforgettable day. You will not regret having this experience. I don't think the smile has left my face!

Started this week with a visit go DZP to 'meet the tigers' and was absolutely blown away not just by the experience but the whole place and people there. The animals were all beautifully housed and taken care of and the tour given by Justin was fabulous. Such a positive vibe and such an impressive set of values and staff!

Wow! Just wow! This experience was truly amazing. We (me and my hubby, Alan) were lucky enough to be able to meet Stripe, one of the female tigers. She is truly magnificent. We had our VIP tour of the zoo with Mike (head keeper) and he was fabulous - really entertaining and had stories about most of the animals which really made the zoo come alive. From Bramble the fox to evil Enzo the Coati to Mr Pickles the deer - everyone had a little tale all of their own to be shared and enjoyed. You really do get up close and personal to these wonderful animals - Stripe was so calm and chilled and patient as we clicked away with our cameras, capturing her every angle. We were also really lucky to witness 'The Wolf Man', Shaun Ellis, mingling with both his wolves and the ones living at the park. This was a truly amazing sight to watch him hand feeding the wolves and them rubbing their heads affectionately over his back and shoulders. The zoo is also the most 'un-zoo' like zoo I have been to - very natural and green.. the animal's enclosures have plenty of things to keep them entertained and happy, and they all looked content and un-stressed... There are lots of staff around who are friendly and will answer any queries you might have.. all in all it is a very relaxed and laid-back environment. If you love tigers then you just HAVE to do this experience... if I lived closer (we are in the Midlands, unfortunately) I would definitely be going along for a repeat performance. Thank you Mike and Stripe for giving us a truly magical experience.. xx
